Dr Glenn Gomez, Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Glenn Gomez is an experienced, Australian trained, Orthopaedic surgeon with a sub speciality interest in robotic joint replacement of the hip and knee.
Dr Gomez graduated from Monash University Medical School, with first class honours, in 2004.
Dr Gomez subsequently went on to complete his Orthopaedic surgical training in Victoria and Tasmania and has trained in some of the most highly regarded orthopaedic hospitals in Melbourne. He was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013, and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Gomez has undertaken additional post fellowship training, both locally and internationally, with some of the world’s most respected joint replacement surgeons in advanced techniques such as Anterior approach, minimally invasive, hip replacement surgery and Robotic joint replacement surgery.
In order to become accredited in Australia to use this technology you must complete specific training courses. Dr Gomez is one of only two surgeons in Queensland accredited to perform Mako Robotic Total Hip replacement surgery via the Anterior approach, the only truly muscle sparing approach to the hip.
Central Queensland Arthritis Clinic (CQAC)
In association with the Rockhampton Robotic Joint Replacement Centre, Dr Gomez also runs the Central Queensland Arthritis Clinic (CQAC). A first of its kind clinic in Central Queensland, dedicated to the management of Osteoarthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder.
